 DENVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT COLORADO

Denver has traditionally been home to one of the busiest airports in the nation because of its location and is by far the largest land area commercial airport in the USA - 35,000 acres. The signature DIA profile, suggestive on the snow capped Rocky Mountains, was first hand sketch by Design Director Curtis W. Fentress.

Postcard description :

Mount Rushmore National Memorial

Mount Rushmore is a memorial to the birth, growth, expansion and preservation of America through the principles of our present form of government. Chosen by Sculptor Gutzon Borglum, the sculpted presidents, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln, represent the first 150 years of the young nation. The primary resource is the granite sculpture itself, but also of interest is the Lincoln Borglum Museum, Presidential Trail and Sculptor's Studio. The museum houses thematic exhibits and the movie, "Mount Rushmore - The Shrine." The Presidential Trail provides visitors outstanding and unique views of the carved faces. Plaster models and tools are displayed at the Sculptor's Studio. Talks about the carving are offered during the summer.

"Dear Lenny,

Greetings from Mason City, Iowa in the central USA. Iowa is a rural farming state where the farmers grow soybeans and corn.

This is a picture of Mount Rushmore. The faces of four of our former presidents are carved into the rock of the mountain."

Best wishes!

#13 : South Korea

"Hi there! Greetings from South Korea :)

I'm so happy that I wrote your address safely! I'm a little bit worried that I couldn't write your address in space but I did it, yeah ~ because this card is related with snows, so I put Korea river stamps during winter x) I don't know your thought. But I hate winter because I don't like cold. Just spring & summer are best! But snowing is really beautiful.

Hope you like my card and there are many blue things >_< stickers, postcard and stamps.

Have a nice day, Lenny :)
